    Further safety advice from BCC

Please keep yourselves and your loved ones safe around open water, especially during the forecasted freezing weather over the festive period. Temperatures are expected to remain low over the coming days and we would urge people to be very careful when walking or cycling near waterways.

Do not go onto the ice even if it looks safe as it can weaken very easily. If you see anyone in trouble, please call 999 immediately.

We have warning and advice signs by our lakes and waterways and parks staff regularly check they are in good condition, but please report any concerns.

  • Daycare Services

    Published 21/11/22

Since the closure of our Children’s Centre services, we have lost a significant amount of funding from the Local Authority. Due to this we have had to review our Daycare provision and unfortunately this is no longer sustainable. Therefore, the School and Governors have made the decision to close the Daycare at the end of July 2023.

From September 2023, we will only be offering funded places for 2, 3 and 4yr olds. This means that as a 2yr old, parents will need to meet the eligibility criteria.

We will still be offering extended provision between the hours of 8.15am and 4.15pm Monday to Thursday only.

  • School Opening

    Published 28/09/22

We are pleased to inform you that school will reopen tomorrow as normal.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, however we cannot operate safely without electricity which has an impact on the security of the building entry system and phonelines.  We need to ensure that children are safe and secure at all times.  The supply has now been restored and we will be operating as usual.
